DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK

The venue is open-air island in Pearl River, which differs greatly from conventional stadiums and helps create a mixture of time and space. “City being the background, Pearl River being the stage”, the opening ceremony made the best use of sound, lighting and other avant-garde multimedia elements and achieved unprecedented great success.

The 610 meters Canton Tower is a twisting structure of steel lattice. Its surface is so smooth that there is no position for standing or mounting fireworks. How to mount and fix fireworks on this building?

First, in order to guarantee the safety of crews and avoid to biggest possible extent operation from suspension wire system, Panda Fireworks installed safety steel cables and net at every mounting site.

All rack bases were fastened onto the steel rod (over 80cm in diameter) with double-strand steel wires. And the racks were mounted onto the bases. Angles of bases were calculated in advance to make sure consistent angling of all racks.
